Education Requirements

This position requires the following minimum education: 

  • 4 year degree in Engineering or B.S Degree with 3+ years Management experience.

Work Experience Requirements

  • This person filling this position must have experience in defining processes and identifying process improvements. 
  • The candidate may also have experience with programs and/or methods to optimize reproducibility and reduce cycle time, manufacturing losses, and overall costs.
  • Experience managing engineering projects for renovation of existing pharmaceutical manufacturing areas and design / development of new facilities
  • Experience leading / managing capital investments in equipment and facilities driving projects from inception to validation and licensure
  • Experience managing a team of engineers and process experts to complete initiatives set forth by the company, prioritize projects and deliver results

Specific Job Requirements

  • Engagement in a cross functional team to measure, analyze, improve and control processes throughout the business.
  • Develop and Implement facilities expansions and modifications required to comply with regulatory requirements and support business growth.
  • Supports manufacturing with corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement.
  • Implements new processes and products. 
  • Participates in overall product strategy, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
  • Active member of the change review boards to review and approve changes related to cGMP systems and facilities
  • Review and approve validation, user requirements, standard operating procedures and engineering documents.
  • Oversee work and provide guidance for the engineering projects team.
  • Oversee work completed by outside service firms and conduct submittal reviews from vendors, providing feedback to the involved parties and ensuring the companies objectives are met.
  • Manage outside vendors for contract work, including bid process, ensuring safety requirements, contract work, and creation of turn-over packages and commissioning documentation.
  • Prepare yearly estimates and prioritize projects in preparation and management of facilities capital investment budget.
  • Execute projects as defined in the Site Master Plan and contribute to the update and revision on a yearly basis
  • Manage Departmental operation budget
  • Manage Capital Projects
  • Develop Metrics and report to management on a monthly basis
