Job Description


We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a regionally defined set of customers near Mechanicsburg, PA!

Position summary:

Customer Service Representative supports the sales effort by working directly with an external sales team on a regionally defined set of customers or special accounts. Establish a favorable business relationship with customers to insure return business

Position responsibilities:

  • Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for processing
  • Responsible for accurate order entry into MRP system
  • Responsible for delivering quotes to customers & integrating with marketing and sales manager in developing quotes.
  • Regular communication to customer requests for product and availability information
  • Determine best ship methods for cost and efficiency
  • Support outside and inside representatives with sample requests and sales reports
  • Responsible for setting up new customers
  • Track shipments as required
  • Assist customers with technical questions
  • Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures

Reporting to this position:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee sits 80% of the day. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

  • No travel is expected for this position.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Safety glasses and enclosed shoes are required on the production floor, will be reimbursed for

Required Education and Experience

  • Customer service experience.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 years minimum of direct CSR experience
  • Computer experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must have a high level of communication skills with the ability to connect with people over the phone, build confidence and show versatility in getting along with others.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

  • American citizen or Permanent  Resident Card
