Seeking a Clinical Lab Technician with 2+ years’ sterilization experience.   • The Quality Technician II position is an entry-level position whose major purpose is to support the North Haven Laboratory Services Sterilization Group.
  • This includes but is not limited to:
    • clinical sterilization batch record review / disposition and assisting with preparation & support of various sterilization / quality related projects.
  • The North Haven Laboratory Services Department located in Connecticut directly supports manufacturing locations worldwide.
  • The Quality Technician II works both individually and as part of a team.


  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and gain certification through on the job training from team leader.
  • Perform sterilization batch record reviews across various sterilization processes executed both in-house and contract.
  • Receive and preserve sterilization cycle batch records (electronic & hardcopy) from in-house and contract sterilizers using established procedures.
  • Develop an understanding of sterilization processing and the various monitoring criteria utilized.
  • Assist sterilization specialists with preparation and support of various sterilization / quality related projects as needed.



  • High school diploma required.


  • Minimum 2 years of previous data analysis related experience required.


  • Proficiency with algebra, identifying inconsistencies, documentation, quality records.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.


  • Listening, demonstrated communication skills (both written and verbal), organization, time management, planning skills, reliable and responsible, capable of independently working.


  • The Quality Technician II position reports directly to the Senior Engineering Supervisor of Sterilization.
  • The Quality Technician II will have frequent contact with various specialists within the North Haven Laboratory Services Department.
  • The work performed by the Quality Technician II will directly affect the timely release of clinical product, across manufacturing plants, being accepted for sterility assurance into the market.


  • The Quality Technician II position will be exposed to the following work environments: office, some warehouse environment, some sterilizer environment, some laboratory environment, moderate lifting, and potential for working with microorganisms.
  • Frequent computer use and deskwork is required.
  • Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as telephone and e-mail.
  • Moderate physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally.
