Sample Coordinator/ Chemist II (Pharmaceuticals, Formulation , HPLC, GC, KF, Dissolution)

SUMMARY: Advancement opportunity for recent grads/ entry-level Chemists with a passion for Pharma or Biotech.The ideal candidate will have knowledge of basic Chemistry laboratory techniques commonly used in the analysis of Pharmaceuticals such as HPLC, GC, Dissolution and KF. Growing Pharmaceutical company is seeking a talented Analytical employee to join our Analytical Development group. Consistently and passionately challenging the boundaries of their knowledge, our Analytical Development team employs traditional and innovative analytical techniques and Quality-by-Design (QbD) principles to develop and validate the analytical tools used to ensure the safety, efficacy and quality of pharmaceutical products. As a member of the Analytical Development team, this role will support the Drug Development programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Sciences e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Engineering
  • 0-4 years of Pharma or Biotech industry or relevant analytical lab experience. Internships acceptable, including knowledge of Analytical, Pharmaceuticals, Formulation, HPLC, GC, Dissolution, KF, QbD, and Drug Development.
  • Strong, documented academic performance in Chemistry
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Eager, ambitious, professional, willing to adapt to a fast-paced environment 
  • The ability to work successfully in both a team/matrix environment as well as independently is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chemical Analysis and drugproduct development/ Formulation support
  • Demonstrate skills using HPLC, GC, dissolution and KF
  • Participating in the planning of experiments (DOE)
  • Maintains accurate records of experiments and results in a laboratory notebook and authors reports as assigned
  • Interpretation and communication of results.  The ability to present results in both oral and written reports is required
  • Maintains general lab equipment, including HPLC, GC, dissolution and KF.
  • Calibration and troubleshooting of instruments and experiments
  • Demonstrates responsible follow-up and meeting of deadlines
  • Demonstrates knowledge of scientific principles and basic understanding of applicable drug development regulations
