**WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SENIOR R&D CHEMICAL ENGINEER TO START PERMANENTLY AND IMMEDIATELY WITH A MASSIVE OIL AND GAS CLIENT IN HOUSTON, TX**

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in the development of new technologies and products which contribute to long term business vision.
  • Distill complex problems into manageable solutions using chemical engineering, materials science and strategic problem solving skills
  • Develop novel experimental methods to improve application understanding and impact of new technologies
  • Ability to synthesize information ranging from macroscopic property tests to molecular level analytical information. 
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to assure reliability of new products
  • Promote and contribute to a cohesive team environment
  • The ideal candidate should have a proven record of introducing industrial products

Requirements:

  • Suitable candidates include PhD Chemists, Chemical Engineers, or Materials Scientists with 1-5 years of experience.
  • Minimum educational requirements are a Doctoral degree and 1-5 years’ experience, or Master’s degree and five or more years’ experience.
  • OIL AND GAS BACKGROUND IS STRONGLY PREFERRED**
  • Experience in chemical engineering, materials science or similar
  • EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING NEW METHODS 

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to synthesize disparate technical information sources (micro/macroscale laboratory testing, field results, domain experts, etc.) into system level understanding
  • Ability to identify gaps in application understanding and develop specific methodologies to overcome limitations.
  • Demonstrable ability to use analysis and data for improving existing laboratory methods and innovating new ones to translate lab-scale tests to large scale phenomena.
  • Ability to understand problems at the molecular and macroscopic level and tie them together
