Job Description


Flavors manufacturing company in Orange County is looking to hire Blenders to join their team!

Duties:

  1. Obtain necessary ingredients and other materials from storage locations as per work order requirements.
  2. Measure, pre-batch, deliver all components to blending area. Verify quantity and lot numbers of ingredients going into the batch, document on formula sheets.
  3. Strictly follow formula instructions to make scheduled batches in kettles and tanks, take samples to the lab and work with QA to adjust as needed in order to meet formula specifications.
  4. Transfer approved batches to packaging room or bulk containers.
  5. Issue components to the work order, report production of WIP and/or finished goods using handheld mobile devices (scanners).
  6. Clean and sanitize the equipment, utensils, work stations, rooms per SSOP and master sanitation schedule.
  7. Report all incidents including spills, equipment breakdowns, steam/water/air leaks as well as unsafe conditions and other type of violations by team members.
  8. Communicate with machine operators the type, batch number, specifics, quantities of the products assigned to each line.
  9. Must meet the planned production schedule.
  10. Follow food safety, GMP and housekeeping requirements in all production activities.
  11. Comply with occupational safety requirements.
  12. Fills in for Sr. Blender when absent.

Requirements:

  1. One-year experience in blending and filling operations. Food manufacturing preferred.
  2. GE Diploma. Lifting 50 LBs and going up/down the steps to processing equipment.
  3. Following GMP and safety requirements.
  4. Ability to properly read formula instructions, document necessary information.
  5. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Skills: Bilingual. Excellent math, ability to use scales, weigh ingredients, operate forklift or pallet jack (desirable).
