Job Scope & Purpose:

Our Cambridge based client is seeking a talented molecular automation research scientist to join their ranks. The primary role of this Engineer/Scientist is to be responsible for the development and implementation of automated workflows to support scientific research objectives. With Leaders in the Immunotherapy with distinguished founders and seasoned board members who have brought drugs to market- this team is going to make an impact in immunotherapy, and they want you to be there with them when they do. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Development of automated workflows for molecular biology, next-generation sequencing, and cell culture applications
  • Implementing laboratory instrument software and tools to drive high-throughput processes
  • Optimization and validation of protocols to support scale-up

Primary Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline or engineering field.
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience in laboratory automation systems and software implementation pertaining to hardware control
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), CLIA/CAP guidelines
  • Experience with LIMS
  • Experience with Next Generation Sequencing processes
  • Experience with cell culture
  • Knowledge of molecular biology, immunology, genetics, and cancer biology
  • The ability to think critically and perform functions with minimal guidance
  • Impeccable documentation practices and attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
