Job Description


Apex Life Sciences Is looking for an Associate Scientist to join one of our top Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies in Cambridge, MA. This organization provides hands on training for their Associate Scientists.

Tools and Methods:

qPCR, ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and DNA/RNA extraction

Compensation and Benefits:  $30.00-41.00/hr

Skills:   

  • Hands on knowledge and technical skills to perform analytical methods such as qPCR, ELISA, and Immunoprecipitation with subsequent data analysis.
  • Previous experience with oligonucleotides is strongly preferred.
  • Familiar with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and analytical software associated with methods.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced working environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Biacore and MSD a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Understand concepts of PK, PD, and anti-drug Ab assessment
  • A quick learner with proven ability to perform in a fast paced working environment

Key Duties:        

  • Develop analytical methods using quantitative PCR (qPCR), ELISA (biomarker and anti-drug antibody) and immunoprecipitation.
  • Develop and run electrophoresis methods to determine protein binding.
  • Perform sample testing and investigative bioanalysis for company studies.
  • Extraction of DNA and RNA.
  • RT-qPCR primer and probe design for target sequences.
  • Executing experiments and performing data analysis, creating draft documents and presentations.

Education:         

A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or relevant field, with >1 years or >3 years of biopharmaceutical experience respectively.
