Apex Life Sciences is seeking qualified candidates for a 6 month Contract to Hire Associate Scientist role in RTP!

Associate Scientist

Roles & Responsibilities: A level of understanding in wet chemistry techniques is required.  Experience with working in a GMP-regulated environment is preferred.  Additional experience with other laboratory techniques, such as FTIR, UV-Vis, Spectroscopy, Karl-Fischer, DSC, TGA, and wet chemistry is also preferred.  Basic Computer skills are required.

Key Priorities of Associate Scientist: 

  • Perform FTIR, UV-Vis, Karl-Fischer, in addition to other lab techniques
  • Read and follow protocols, ICH guidelines
  • Assist with general laboratory procedures in GMP environment 


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and 1-5  years related experience 
  • Industry knowledge of cGMP/GLP regulations
  • Experience with UV-Vis, Karl-Fischer, FTIR other analytical instrumentation
  • Experience with DSC and TGA a plus but not required
  • Empower experience is a plus
  • Ability to execute procedures and methods and comply with all regulations. 
  • Ability to lead small team projects.
  • Has developed troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
