Position: Aseptic QC Technician 

Location: Indianapolis, IN.

Hours: 2nd shift (M-F, 1:45-10:30p, with OT Saturdays as needed)


Apex Life Sciences is searching for a QC Technician in an aseptic environment for a company in the Food and Beverage industry. This is a 2nd shift, full time, Contract to Hire opportunity. Additionally this position will follow manufacturing records (e.g. verification of products/components, MSPECS), performing receiving checks and sampling, conducting weight sampling verification and analysis, and performing production sampling. 


  • Perform receiving checks and sampling, production sampling, conducting weight sampling verification and analysis
  • Follow SOPs and maintain quality records
  • Understanding of HACCP principles
  • Enforcement of GMPs, Food Safety, and 5S
  • Ability to learn and apply contamination prevention or aseptic techniques.
  • Verify all products meet company specifications
  • Notify management of production or quality issues


  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related science field is preferred. A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
  • Experience in a general Laboratory setting or Quality Lab is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the food industry with SQF, GMPs, and HACCP is preferred.
  • Experience working with aseptic technique or in an aseptic environment is desired
  • Must be able to document company records and be familiar with SPEC sheets
  • Must be able to life 40 lbs
  • Organization and neatness is an absolute must since this position requires documentation of permanent records for the company and its customers.
  • Must be able to work some OT and weekends
