Senior Analytical Method Development Chemist

Apex Life Sciences is searching for a Senior Method Development Chemist for a permanent role in Oakville, ON. Our client is in the pharmaceutical industry and is looking to grow their R&D team. This position is a senior role with many growth opportunities. We are seeking chemists with extensive method development, method validation and method transfer experience for HPLC and GC.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform and review method development, method validation and method transfers for new products
  • Write stability protocols with third-party labs for new and existing products
  • Support the development pharmaceutical products
  • Review and support the technology transfer related activities and that of CMC content of regulatory submissions
  • Ensure all method development and validation activities are being executed up to compliance and regulatory standards
  • Communicate and troubleshoot with third-party labs for any issues related to method development, validations, and stability protocols
  • Collaborate with the internal Quality department to troubleshoot any issues related to OOS/OOT investigations
  • Provide support in regards to analytical testing such as leachables/extractables, filter validation, and compatibility studies

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum B.Sc. in chemistry or related.
  • 5-10 years experience with analytical method development, validation, and transfer in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Candidates with selected injectable experience is considered an asset
  • Highly experienced with HPLC and GC
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work well without supervision. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
