Apex Life Sciences is seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Assistant opening in RTP!

I.  Position Overview: 

  • Administrative Assistant to the Metrology team

II.  Essential Functions:

  • Provides administrative support to Project Directors and laboratory personnel in the Laboratory groups at the RTP site
  • Format methods into standard format
  • Format protocols into standard format
  • Assemble and/or distribute laboratory notebooks without errors
  • Generate reports and Certificate of Analyses with minimum guidance and errors
  • File correspondences

III.  Position Requirements:

Education or Equivalent:  High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree

Experience:  With High School Diploma, 2-4 years of related experience.  With Associate’s Degree, 1-2 years of related experience.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:  

  • Understand systems, SOPs, policies to effectively support the lab with requested needs
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks
  • Works independently toward assigned objectives
  • Determines what action to take within limits of company practice
  • Application of sound judgment
  • Establishes priorities of multiple tasks
  • Proven ability/knowledge to work within the other groups of the company

Physical Requirements: 

  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
  • Specific vision requirements including reading of written documents and the use of computer monitor screen frequently
