Job Description


Night Shift QC Technician

  • This is an entry level position.  
  • We really want someone who is dedicated to the night shift hours.  (not just a “Yea – I can probably work those hours.”)
  • Training will be approximately 2-3 weeks on days and then 1 week with another Technician on nights.
  • Our operations night shift staff (around 12 people) is a great group of people to work with.
  • We are looking for someone who did work in college.   It does not have to be in the field of study but simply to show/evaluate a good work ethic.
  • Micro and chem lab positions do have physical aspects to the job especially when doing sampling.
  • CANNOT wear contact lenses on the plant floor; must wear glasses if needed. 

Responsibilities:

  • Test purchased materials and/or manufactured products per cGMP requirements and participate in laboratory investigations.
  • Operate laboratory equipment.
  • Collect samples including raw material, finished product, process equipment and environmental.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Maintain personal laboratory work area and assist with general laboratory cleaning.
  • Participate in training and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science) which includes academic lab experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with others.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibility for the results.
