Job Description:

  • Stress analysts to support drawing release and analysis of Atlas and Delta products and non-conformance analysis and disposition. 
  • Structural analysis to support Ground Support Equipment hardware development Classical stress analysis, FEM modeling and analysis using FEMAP and NX NASTRAN. 
  • Understanding of company tools and processes. 
  • Documentation of analysis. 

Summary:

  • Researches, designs and develops instruments, automation controls, engines, machines, mechanisms, hydraulics, heat transfer, cryogenic and ordnance components and systems that are used in the transmission, measurement and use of energy.  
  • Application of mechanical engineering principles to the planning, design, development and testing of mechanical systems.

  • Must be able to perform all assigned tasks in a safe manner.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the worker may be exposed to repetitive motion injuries due to keyboarding or to cuts and bruises due to typical office accidents.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the worker is regularly required to use computer and office equipment and to use hands to type, manipulate, handle, and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • The worker frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The worker is occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The worker must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close –vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
